Norwegian distribution: The species is known from a few localities in the limestone areas in the lowlands of southeastern Norway; there is also a doubtful record from Nordland
- Counties:: Ak, Bu, No(?). - Vegetation regions: Boreonemoral. - Altitude: From about sea-level to c. 100 m
World distribution: Apparently mainly a central European species, extending to Norway and the Mediterranean region
Ecology: The species grows on sunny, south- to west-facing surfaces of calcareous rocks.
Threats: No threats recorded
Status: Apparently a very rare species restricted to the finest limestone localities. The island Hovedøya is protected; the population on the island Malmøya is probably also within a protected area
Notes: The identity of the material from Nordland requires confirmation, as it was said to be isidiate.
