Norwegian distribution: The species is known from a few localities in the limestone areas in the lowlands of southeastern Norway - Counties:: Ak, Te. - Vegetation regions: Boreonemoral. - Altitude: Close to sea-level

World distribution: From the northern Mediterranean region to southern Norway

Ecology: The species grows on sunny, south- to west-facing surfaces of calcareous rocks.

Threats: No threats recorded

Status: Apparently a very rare species restricted to the finest limestone localities. The islands Hovedøya and Rambergøya are protected
