Abstract

Often, A. & Haugan, R. 1998.Toppstarr Carex paniculata på Vesterøy (Hvaler) og Storfosna (Ørland). Blyttia 56: 174-176.
Carex paniculata at Vesterøy (Hvaler, SE Norway) and Storfosna (Ørland, Central Norway).

Carex paniculata is reported from two new localities; one from Hvaler municipality in Østfold, SE Norway and one from Ørland municipality in Sør-Trøndelag, Central Norway. The species is coastal and rare in Norway, but the number of known localities has increased much over the last few decades, which partly may be attributed to better general floristic knowledge, but the possibility of the species being in a state of expansion can not be ruled out.
