Abstract

Melseth, T.H., Grøstad, T. & Halvorsen, R. 1999. Raggarve Cerastium brachypetalum Pers., med Norges to eneste kjente lokaliteter i Kragerø, én gammel og én ny. Blyttia 57: 120-122.
Cerastium brachypetalum Pers.: a new site (the second in Norway) discovered in Kragerø, Telemark.

Cerastium brachypetalum has until now been known from only one single locality in Norway, in Kragerø, Telemark county, SE Norway. The population has repeatedly been reported as being extinct, but has then been rediscovered, albeit in small numbers. A new locality not far from the old one was discovered in 1995. The species is easily overlooked, so the possibility that there may be more populations in the area cannot be ruled out. The species is presented for an Norwegian audience, and it's history in Norway is reviewed
