["Glushinskite, a dihydrate of magnesium oxalate, occurs at the lichen/rock interface on serpentinite colonized by Lecanora atra at Mill of Johnson, near Insch in north-east Scotland. Evidently, the mineral originates following reaction between the oxalic acid excreted by the mycobiont of L. atra and the magnesium-rich serpentine minerals in the substrate rock."]
