Abstract: A tota1 of 71 lichen species in 42 genera are listed for the island. Three species are described as new: %93Arctomia%94 latispora Øvstedal, Fellhaneropsis subantarctica Øvstedal and Stereocaulon heardii Øvstedal. More than half of the species are restricted to the southern cold zone (Antarctica and sub-Antarctic islands). [Report of 71 species in 42 genera. New: "Arctomia" latispora Øvstedal sp. nov., Fellhaneropsis subantarctica Øvstedal sp. nov. and Stereocaulon heardii sp. nov. Øvstedal.
