[Lichen distribution on coastal rocks on King George Island, South Shetland Islands, was correlated with variations in thallus hydration in Ramalina terebrata and Usnea fasciata. Exposures favorable to fog had much richer lichen abundance and diversity although the temperatures were cooler in these northwest and west rock slopes.]
