[Study on Ramalina menziesii from coastal California showed no relationship between rates of CO2 exchange between specimens with high or low salt concentrations, nor was there any correlation with individual trees within one coastal site compared with one inland site. Artificial manipulation of NA+ content did not change rates of CO2 exchange.
