Abstract: 23 figures (10 in color). ["In structure and development of the vegetative thallus, apothecia, and pycnidia, Euopsis and Harpidium were proved to correspond to Pyrenopsis and other genera of the Lichinaceae, and it seems not to be justified to keep the two genera in a separate family Harpidiaceae. The inclusion of Euopsis and Harpidium in the Lichinaceae is suggested here. The occurrence of well-developed, unitunicate-rostrate asci, as they have been described here for species of Euopsis, Harpidium, and Pyrenopsis, support the view that the prototunicate ascus ... might have derived from a unitunicate ascus type."]
